USA Today names its favorite 10 books of 2010

Yesterday, USA Today’s book critics released their list of favorite books from 2010, and I’m passing the list along to you today for your entertainment.

This short list of outstanding books includes five fiction titles and five nonfiction titles.

Fiction books that made the list were:

1. Freedom by Jonathan Franzen

2. Matterhorn: A Novel of the Vietnam War by Karl Marlantes

3. So Much for That by Lionel Shriver

4. Fall of Giants by Ken Follett

5. The Imperfectionists by Tom Rachman

Nonfiction books that made the list were:

1. Anne Frank: The Anne Frank House Authorized Graphic Biography by Sid Jacobson and Ernie Colon

2. The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson

3. Let’s Take the Long Way Home by Gail Caldwell

4. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

5. Just Kids by Patti Smith
