'Maps of Ice and Fire' book cracks best-sellers list this week

It’s Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Seller List. According to the list, there are two new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"Barefoot Contessa Foolproof" by Ina Garten replaced "Killing Kennedy" by Bill O'Reilly as the top book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list.

"Hotel Vendome" by Danielle Steel replaced "My Kind of Christmas" by Robyn Carr as the top book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list.

"The Racketeer" by John Grisham remained the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list for the second week in a row.

"Reflected in You" by Sylvia Day remained the No. 1 book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list for the second week in a row.

There are three books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on that list last week. They (along with their place on the list) include "The Sins of the Mother" by Danielle Steel (2), "A Winter Dream" by Richard Paul Evans (5) and "Iced" by Karen Marie Moning (11).

There are eight books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They include "Barefoot Contessa Foolproof" by Ina Garten (1), "The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook" by Deb Perelman (3), "Risky Is the New Safe" by Randy Gage (6), "A Gift of Hope" by Danielle Steel (9), "Crazy Sexy Kitchen" by Kris Carr (10), "Bruce" by Peter Ames Carlin (11), "Young House Love" by Sherry Petersik (12) and "The Generals" by Thomas E. Ricks (15).
