Tom Clancy's newest novel 'Threat Vector' tops best-sellers list

Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Seller List. According to the list, there is only one new book at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"Threat Vector" by Tom Clancy replaced "The Black Box" by Michael Connelly as the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list.

"Killing Kennedy" by Bill O'Reilly remained the top book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list for the fourth week in a row.

“Kill Alex Cross" by James Patterson remained the top book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list for the third straight week.

"Proof of Heaven" by Eben Alexander remained the No. 1 book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list for the second week in a row.

There is only one book on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that wasn’t on that list last week - "Threat Vector" by Tom Clancy, which was No. 1 on the list.

There are four books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They include "Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die" by Willie Nelson (9), "Bruce" by Peter Ames Carlin (11), "I Could Pee on This" by Francesco Marciuliano (12) and "Waging Heavy Peace" by Neil Young (13).

There are two books on this week’s mass market paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They include "Eat to Live" by Joel Fuhrman (14) and "1225 Christmas Tree Lane" by Debbie Macomber (15).

There are two books on this week’s trade paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They include "Private London" by James Patterson (3) and "World Almanac and Book of Facks 2013" by World Almanac (8).

As a reminder, I’m posting these lists each Sunday because they, as a whole, represent a great, contemporary recommended reading list.
