“Repton To Observe Homecoming Friday, Will Play Beatrice: Repton High School will hold its annual homecoming Friday.
“Feature of the celebration will be the homecoming game at 7:30 tomorrow night. Beatrice will be the Bulldogs’ opponent in the game. Coach Mack Primm’s club is all even for the season with two wins and two losses going into Friday’s game.
“Probable starting lineup for Repton will be: left end, J.C. Brantley; left tackle, Rufus Allen; left guard, Carlos Brooks; center, Cleveland Morris; right guard, Marvin Covin or Ervin Baggett; right tackle, James Lee; right end, Barry Ryland; quarterback, Rayburn Nall; wingback, Guy Miniard; tailback, Johnny Owens; and fullback, Franklin Baggett.”

“The Evergreen Aggies played the role of spoilers at McKenzie High School’s annual homecoming celebration Friday night.
“Flashing their strongest offense of the season, the Evergreens rolled to a convincing, 27-0, win over the Tigers.
“Coach Wendell Hart’s Aggies were a much improved ball club over their last outing as they pounded out the win over Coach Reed Hughes’ Tigers. The week’s layoff for the flu apparently helped the squad to brush up on its offense, and the results were pleasing to Coach Hart and Jeff Moorer.”
Standout Evergreen players in that game included Robbie Boykin, Howard Claybrook, Robert Daniels, Robert Ellington and Billy Grace.

“Evergreen Gridders Tangle With McKenzie Nov. 5th: Coach E.L. McInnis’ Evergreen High gridders will open their season in a homecoming engagement with the McKenzie High 11 at McKenzie Friday afternoon, Nov. 5, game starting at 1:30. This game will mark the first time a team from Evergreen High School has played in six years. To look for an Evergreen win would be expecting too much, but if ever a team gave its best, this one will. It is hoped that as many supporters as possible will try to make the trip.
“On Thursday afternoon, Nov. 11, the local 11 will tackle W.S. Neal High School of East Brewton on the home field. This season opener will pit the Aggies against one of the best teams in this part of the state. The Neal gridders defeated Atmore, 7-0, last Thursday night in one of the biggest upsets of the year. The game will start about 2 p.m. A large crowd should be on hand for the first game in Evergreen in over six years and since it is Armistice Day, people have no excuse.
“Coach McInnis said he hoped to schedule at least two more games if possible. A squad roster with weights is listed below.
“Ends – McIntyre, 145; Stinson, 145; Carpenter, 140.
“Tackles – Owens, 165; Holman, 150; Johnson, 155.
“Guards – Bradley, 165; Wells, 140; Brown, 150; Millsap, 130; Kelly, 120.
“Centers – Hagood, 165; Hart, 145; Robbins, 135.
“Backs – Huey, 165; Logan, 150; Cross, 140; Tranum, 130; Ellis, 135.”
