J.D. Robb's 'Concealed in Death' tops best-sellers list this week

Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Sellers Lists. According to those lists, there are two new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"Concealed in Death" by J.D. Robb replaced "Private L.A." by James Patterson and Mark Sullivan as the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list.

"Super Shred" by Ian K. Smith replaced "Duty" by Robert M. Gates as the top book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list.

"Six Years" by Harlan Coben remained the top book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list for the second week in a row.

"Second Honeymoon" by James Patterson and Howard Roughan remained the top book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list for the third week straight.

There were four new books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. Those books (and their places on the list) included "Concealed in Death" by J.D. Robb (1), "Like a Mighty Army" by David Weber (8), "Moving Target" by J.A. Jance (12) and "The Museum of Extraordinary Things" by Alice Hoffman (13).

There were three new books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that wasn’t on the list last week. Those books included "The Virgin Diet Cookbook" by J.J. Virgin (8), "The Daniel Plan Cookbook" by Rick Warren (10) and "Glitter and Glue" by Kelly Corrigan (14).

There were three new books on this week’s mass market paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. Those books included "The Hit" by David Baldacci (2), "One Heart to Win" by Johanna Lindsey (6) and "The English Girl" by Daniel Silva (12).

There were four books on this week’s trade paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "Letting Go" by Maya Banks (12), "Twelve Years a Slave" by Solomon Northup (13), "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg (14) and "Philomena" by Martin Sixsmith (15).

As a reminder, I’m posting these lists each Sunday because they, as a whole, represent a great, contemporary recommended reading list.
