Four Alabama UFOs were reported in November including one in Greenville

Today is the second Thursday of the month, so this week I’m giving you an update on UFO reports in Alabama from the previous month, courtesy of the Mutual UFO Network.

A search for UFO reports in Alabama between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30 on MUFON’s website, www.mufon.com, resulted in four reports from within our state during that time, including one from Greenville.

The first incident occurred on Thurs., Nov. 5, around 6:20 p.m. in McIntosh, which is in Washington County. The witness in this case was driving home from work on County Road 35 when he “caught a glimpse of something in my peripheral vision to my left out the window.” The witnessed turned and saw an object in the southeast sky, just over the horizon at the end of a mile-long clearing.

The object moved rapidly, and the witness noted a “slight glowing reflection from the bottom of the object.” The witness said he could see the object clearly and could tell that it wasn’t an airplane.

The second incident occurred on Fri., Nov. 13, at 5:40 p.m. near Greenville, which is in Butler County, just north of Evergreen. The witness in this case was with her husband at a cabin in a remote location outside of Greenville. They were standing on the porch when a “very bright object” appeared high over the trees to the north.

This unusual object was miles away but very bright, the witness said. At first, they thought it might be a star, but then they noted that it “wobbled,” moving a short distance up and down and left and right in the sky. They then noticed that it appeared to have different colored lights that blinked and rotated around the object.

The couple watched the object for about 25 minutes, and, using binoculars, they noticed that the lights were green, red, yellow, white and orange. The witness noted that while she’s been a backyard stargazer for years, she’d never seen anything like this object before.

The third incident occurred on Sun., Nov. 22, around 10 p.m. in Pelham, which is in Shelby County, not far from Birmingham. The witness in this case was searching an office parking lot for a pet cat that had gotten loose when the she noticed a group of bright, green lights in the sky. The witness, who works as a flight attendant, said she knew that something wasn’t right because no aircraft is covered in all green lights during night flights.

The lights hovered above the road in front of the witness and as she watched, the lights flew off to the south “so fast that the lights all blurred into what appeared to be one long green light with a descending tail,” she said. The witness told her husband about the “bright and odd” lights and they started for home. The missing cat was eventually found hiding under a tree, she said.

The fourth incident occurred on Thurs., Nov. 26, which was Thanksgiving Day, around 4:57 p.m. in Montgomery. The witness in this case was visiting a local park with a church group and began taking photographs, including several pictures of the clouds overhead. Later, when he took a close look at the pictures he’d taken, he noticed “a strange, bright, flying thing” in two of the photos.

At first, he thought he’d unknowingly took a picture of the Moon, positioned small above the Sun. However, another picture of the object showed that it had moved to a different position in the sky.

Before closing out this week, I just want to put it out there again that I would be very interested to hear from anyone who have witnessed a UFO, especially in Conecuh County. I think a lot of other people would be interested in hearing your story too, and I’m willing to accept your report anonymously.
