Two UFO reports were filed in Alabama during the month of November 2016

It’s the third Thursday of the month, so this week I’m giving you an update on UFO reports in Alabama from the previous month, courtesy of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). A search for UFO reports in Alabama between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30 on MUFON’s website, www.mufon.com, resulted in two reports from within our state during that time.

The first incident took place on Fri., Nov. 4, at 11:10 p.m. in Montgomery. The witness in this case was driving home from work, a trip of less than three miles. As he drove onto interstate highway, he noted a “large, bright light” high in the sky that he’d never noticed before.

The light seemed to remain in the same place, so the witness, at first, thought it was an aviation warning light on top of a tall tower. He noted that the light also wasn’t emitting any noise or interfering with his car radio.

However, the man’s opinion changed when he actually drove beneath the light and then he saw it in his car mirrors as he continued to travel down the highway. The entire time, the light seemed to never move, and the witness lost sight of it when he drove off the interstate and trees blocked his view.

The witness went home and told people about what happened, but they only laughed at him. The witness also said that the entire time he saw the light, he felt like it was “watching.” He didn’t know what it was watching, he just felt like it was watching something.

The second incident occurred on the morning of Wed., Nov. 16, in Birmingham. The witness in this case provided very few details about his experience. He only said that he was in his yard barbecuing when he saw something unexplainable in the sky.

We’re now midway through the month of December, and December is usually an active month for UFO reports. Of course, if you see a UFO on Christmas Eve, it’s probably just Santa Claus, who is known to sometimes be assisted by “little green men” in the form of his well-known helper elves.

If you do see something out of the ordinary in the sky on Christmas Eve, one way to check and see if it’s Santa is to check the Official NORAD Santa Tracker at www.noradsanta.org. NORAD, which is short for North American Aerospace Defense Command, is based at Peterson Air Force Base near Colorado Springs, Colo. Around the clock, NORAD uses cutting edge technology and equipment to monitor the skies for enemy missiles and other threats to our country.

However, since 1955, NORAD has also used its state-of-the-art facilities to track Santa’s sleigh as it travels the world on Christmas Eve, delivering gifts to children across the globe. NORAD officials say that they “track and guard Santa and his sleigh on his trip to and from the U.S. against possible attack from those who do not believe in Christmas."

Before closing out this week, I just want to put it out there again that I would be very interested to hear from anyone who have witnessed a UFO, especially in Conecuh County. I think a lot of other people would be interested in hearing your story too, and I’m willing to accept your report anonymously.
